Dave Rutch has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and has been a personal trainer for over 16 years. He can help men, women, young (even as young as 10 years old) not so young, overweight, underweight, athletes, and the deconditioned. He has helped a lady lose 100 lbs and he has helped a 53 year old man win an over 50 bodybuilding show (his 1st show). He has helped teens rehab from injuries to play football, compete in swimming, and play lacrosse. He has helped women who have given birth get down to a weight lower than before they became pregnant. Dave started exercising in 1987 when he was a scrawny 120 lb. teen. "I just wanted to be big and strong, and I was weak and pathetic". Dave began lifting weights and started to see results. He then graduated high school and entered the U.S. Army. Stationed in Germany, Dave served 5 months in Desert Storm with the 3rd Armored Division. He came home from the desert 20 lbs lighter. "Everything I gained and worked for in the previous 2 years was all gone. I left for the desert 170 lbs. and came back 150 lbs". After being honorably discharged by the Army in 1991, Dave got back to work lifting weights and getting stronger. Eventually, Dave shot up to 220 lbs by 1994. He wanted to get big and strong and push the limits of his strength and conditioning. At 5'9" and at a weight of 220 lbs, Dave could bench press 390 lbs. and squat 475 lbs. (with his feet together and down to 90 degrees). Dave stayed at this weight for 7 years. By 2001, Dave changed his focus to getting leaner and obtaining a more athletic build. In 2004 he competed in the East Coast Tournament of Champions Bodybuilding Competition. He weighed in at 170 lbs. Since then, Dave has maintained 175 lbs. "I have outgrown the desire to be big, and want to stay leaner as I get older. I want to keep up with my 2 children". FITNESS PLANS THAT WORK! What you can expect when working with Dave is a program that is going to take a lot of effort. It is not easy and takes planning and dedication. By knowing how to eat and weight train effectively you will gain the results you are looking for. "Anyone can gain strength, regardless of their age, gender or medical status. You have to take knowledge and apply it consistently". He will take all guessing out of your program. You will know exactly what is expected of you and what you are supposed to do each day.
