2008 Tucson Training Camp Video: Mt. Lemmon Climb - Camp One
Enjoy various video clips from our 6th Annual Tucson Training Camp, March 7-14, 2008! Over 30 athletes from all backgrounds and ability levels from throughout the country attended the program. Day Three included the highly anticipated ride up Mt. Lemmon and a night out 'on the town' in the "Party Bus". Our 2008 camps are sponsored in part by Great Harvest Bread.
Sunny and warm with temperatures in the 70's, day Three included a morning round of V02max testing followed by a trip to famed Mt. Lemmon. This 26 mile mountain extends up to 9500 ft above sea level and features the Southern most ski resort in the U.S. (Ride Mt. Lemmon 'virtually' using Coach Troy's DVD - Tucson Training Rides.). Our campers have 90 minutes to climb as far as they can, followed by a fast and exhilarating descent!
After the climb, the 'party bus' picked everyone up at the hotel for a quick shopping spree at Trisports.com. The evening culminated with a group dinner hosted by Spinervals Cycling at the very trendy restaurant called NORTH. As usual, a perfect day of training was ended with a great meal and good times!
