Coach Troy's Training Blog

A former elite age grouper and 'semi - pro' in the late 1980's and all through the 1990's, Coach Troy turned 40 in 2009 and is focused on rekindling his competitive spirit and getting back into racing. Like most Masters athletes with a busy career, family and other responsibilities, he'll be attempting to fit quality training and racing into the mix while maintaining his health and life balance at the same time. Join him in his journey as he prepares to race again in 2010, preparing for his 'A' priority event, Ironman Wisconsin! Check back often to see his training blog posts and compare his training results to your own, while learning something about training plan development in the process.

Friday, Oct. 2 was scheduled to be my 'aerobic/muscular endurance' day on the bike. I had a 1 hr easy aerobic bike (Recovery zone) and 30 minute easy aerobic run the day before, so I was confident I'd have good legs going in the workout on Friday.
